JELLY's all-time popular models Part 2

"JELLY" is a fashion magazine first launched as a special issue of "Ranzuki" in April 2005, intended as its older-sister publication, and then became independently published in April 2006.

Targeted at young women in their teens and twenties, JELLY promotes casual styles and is still widely popular among young people today.

Initially, JELLY's theme was "cool casual fashion," featuring many street and mode styles, which contributed to its reputation as a gyaru fashion magazine.

This time, let’s introduce some of the popular models, known as “Jeriga” (exclusive JELLY models), who were once active in JELLY!

Mai Miyagi (Maipu)

Born February 19, 1988.

Mai Miyagi, known as "Maipu," became an exclusive model for JELLY in 2008 after her success as a model for Ranzuki.

With her immense popularity from Ranzuki, she went on to grace multiple JELLY covers and helped elevate the magazine’s appeal.

After about five years as a JELLY model, she transitioned to ViVi in 2013, where she continued her career until the March 2017 issue.

In 2018, she got married and gave birth, and now she’s a mother of two. Besides modeling, she actively shares content on YouTube and launched her own brand, "EM," showcasing her diverse pursuits.

Remi Sakamoto

Born November 3, 1989.

Remi Sakamoto debuted as a model in 2008 after being discovered through a snap photoshoot for "egg." Known for her bold black gyaru style, she worked as a shop assistant at COCOLULU during her egg days.

Close friends with fellow egg model Yuka Obara (Yunkoro), they frequently appear in each other’s social media.

Starting from the February 2011 issue, she joined JELLY as an exclusive model, often representing the sexy style.

She served as the image model for popular feminine gyaru brands like "rienda" and "RESEXXY," gaining widespread support among gyaru fans.

Remi graduated from JELLY in the July 2019 issue, but she continues her modeling career and is now a color contact lens model.

Rei Yasui

Born July 3, 1993.

Rei Yasui started her modeling journey with the teen magazine “Hana*chu”→ and JELLY's sister magazine “Ranzuki” before becoming a full-fledged exclusive model for JELLY in 2012.

Known for her bright, carefree smile, Rei became incredibly popular and often appeared solo on JELLY covers.

In August 2014, she announced her pregnancy at seven months and gave birth to her first child in October without marrying.

In October 2019, she held a wedding ceremony with a former junior high classmate she registered marriage with in July 2018.

In August 2020, she welcomed her second child, and as of August 2021, after nearly nine years, she graduated from JELLY.

Currently, she is active as an influencer.

Misaki Izuoka (izu)

Born September 24, 1990.

Misaki Izuoka, also known as "izu," debuted as a model after winning the grand prize in a 2007 model audition for Popteen, a gyaru fashion magazine.

With her remarkable height of 168 cm and weight of 46 kg, she often portrayed cool and stylish looks during her Popteen days.

She then became an exclusive model for KATY before joining JELLY as an exclusive model from the July 2013 issue.

During her JELLY days, izu often showcased cool, adult gyaru fashion with mode-inspired looks featuring jackets and skinny pants.

After three years with JELLY exclusive model, she graduated in the July 2016 issue and has continued her diverse modeling career.

Beyond modeling, she debuted as a singer in 2011, launched her skincare brand "Fertity" as a producer in 2020, and founded the apparel brand "LTANCHE" in 2021, where she serves as the creative director.
